Captain Robert (Bob) Decker has been an outdoor enthusiast all of his life. As a teenager and young adult Captain Bob developed a passion for fishing, camping, hunting and photography. This passion for the outdoors has continued thoughout his life, though these days his hunting is done strictly with camera. In addition to being an active sportsman, Captain Bob is a highly experienced scuba diver. As a PADI Master Instructor, NAUI Instructor Trainer and IANTD Cave & Technical Diver, he is well respected in the diving community. He has an extensive knowledge of the local aquatic environement and the dive sites within it. Captain Bob's photographs and writings have appeared in a variety of local, regional and national publications. Publications include: The New York Times, Rodale's Scuba Diving, Wreck Diver Newsletter, Coaster Magazine, Great Lakes Diving Magazine and others. He is a U.S. Coast Guard licensed Captain holding a 100 Ton Master ticket with a commercial towing endorsement. He is not only trained in CPR and First Aid but is an American Safety & Health Institute (AHSI) First Aid & CPR Instructor. Bob makes no claims to being God's gift to saltwater light tackle and fly fishing.
