[There's a lot to see along the Southern Outer Bands]

Things to See

There's a lot of nature to see [There's a lot to see along the Crystal Coast of North Carolina]and things to do along the North Carolina Southern Outer Banks. The Cape Lookout National Seashore provides a myriad of opportunities to explore, collect sea shells and observe coastal and migratory birds. Pods of wild dolphins may be seen both in the ocean and in the sound. The salt marshes provide a home to a wide variety of creatures. Shackleford Banks and Carrot Island support small herds of wild ponies.

Nature isn't the only thing to look at here. A trip along the Intracoastal Waterway provides an interesting look at beautiful water front homes. You can still happen across tugs pushing or barges loaded with goods or raw materials. Encounters with expensive motor yachts, fast boats, graceful sailing vessels and quaint commercial fishing boats are all quite common.

We provide laid back, unintrusive boat rides to see what you want to see. No set tour routes, ran over and over again. No scripted dialog describing what you're looking at. No claims of being able to name every animal or bird you see. Just a fun, wholesome time on the water exploring the waters of Bouge and Back Sounds.

On all sight seeing tours we provide a cooler of ice with a selection of bottled water and soft-drinks. You're encouraged to bring a snack and/or some lunch. The weather can change quickly, dress in layers to be prepared for temperature changes. You may want to bring along some rain gear as well.

[Wildlife, architecture, history and aquaculture can all be observed]
